Oaks Park High School

Metek Building System was used on this prestigious fast-track project at Oaks Park High School in the borough of Redbridge, London.
Light steel framing was chosen over traditional methods of contruction by the innovative development team at Skanska Construction, where the need for a fast, cost-effective solution was recognised.
The building offered a variety of finishes from brick cavity construction at the lower levels to traditional single-skin insulated cladding at the upper levels. The light steel framing system was also used to carry the plasterboard at the upper levels, saving time and cost.
Kings School, Worcester

A typical over-roofing project was carried out at Kings School, where the need for a light, fast and cost efficient solution was required. The project involved installing light steel framed trusses at 2 metre centres to carry the top-hat for the steel roofing system. This method provided a weather-tight solution without the need of removing the existing faulty roof.
Metek carried out the design and construction quickly and efficiently, offering the benefits of speed and off-site prefabrication as a bespoke solution.
Dalkeith School
Metek infill panels were chosen by Hbg for this major school project in Scotland to ensure the critical program timetable was met. Panels were able to be installed in sub-zero temperatures when other trades were unable to work.
